Hi, I’m Lisa Joseph

I am a professional, warm and empathic therapist with over 15 years of experience working with a range of individuals and groups from private and not-for-profit organisations throughout Australia.

I have a holistic and evidence-based approach to therapy and have a passion for helping people make the changes they need to improve the quality of their lives.

My education includes a Bachelor of Social Science (Psychology) from Swinburne University (VIC) and a first-class Honours degree in Psychology from the University of the Sunshine Coast (QLD).

With a focus on wholistic well-being, I have worked with children, adolescents and adults experiencing a range of complex concerns including Abuse, Trauma, Family Violence, Separated Families, Child/Parent/Family conflict, Mental Health, and Staff well-being and have extensive experience in Relationship Counselling. 

Lisa also has a passion for creative and expressive therapies which is where she started her journey as a practitioner bringing together her love of creativity and her fascination with the human mind, body and spirit.  Lisa is a registered Psychologist and has a Diploma in Art Therapy. 

In addition, Lisa is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Schema Therapy, Person Centred Therapy, Trauma Informed approaches, Emotion Focused Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Positive Psychology, Creative Art Therapies, Sand Play, Transpersonal Therapies, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy and Suicide Prevention.  She is an accredited trainer of the Circle of Security parenting program, the Drumbeat program, Bringing Up Great Kids program and is a Certified Trainer and Assessor. 

Lisa’s previous career was in a Business environment where she worked in Marketing, PR and Management in a range of locations across Australia and in the UK. Lisa has travelled extensively and loves living on the beautiful Sunshine Coast. 

In her spare time, she loves to get out into nature (especially the beach!), spend time with family, travel, paint, decorate, watch great movies, learn and frequent cafes and restaurants in the Noosa area and all over the world.
